West Durham Rural Pathfinder Case Study Event

25th May, Auckland Castle, Bishop Auckland

This whole day Case Study Event was planned to discuss the West Durham Rural Pathfinder’s recently adopted approach, part of which has involved selecting a small number of Case Studies that can share their first-hand experiences, and pilot or test new ways of working around:-

  • service delivery;
  • funding and reporting;
  • community strategies and sub-regional plans;
  • giving communities a stronger voice; and
  • prioritising resources according to local need.

As well as providing an update on the work of the WDRP, the event gave organisations outside of the Case Studies and WDRP an opportunity to discuss and consider the issues around the Case Studies, including suggestions for improvement. This will allow the WDRP Steering Group to be clear on what the issues are and to decide upon and start influencing improvements in service delivery.  Findings from the 25th May event will be considered by the WDRP Steering Group at the 7th June meeting
